We were lost it seems
In a golden dream
It was too much to handle
And we fell in between

From afar we've seen
Just what might have been
Now we're back to our bondage
Down on our knees

And the river flows deep
An endless wash of tears
Falling to oblivion
And in the mouth of madness
A frozen state of sadness
Open up the floor
Let our bodies pour out and get lost again

We can live in the dreams
While our bodies scream
We can turn to the Father
Though it's pointless it seems

And a window breaks
But we can't escape
Must be somebody else's choice to make

Please don't say your goodbyes just yet
Don't want to think
It's a burden hard to bear

Build this myth up stronger
Sleep with me some longer
