Ebb and swell breaks the surface
Ephemeral tumulus raised for something
Whatever threw its bones underneath
To commune with everything that went the same way
That wet its bones and found a home
In silt and compacted stone

Searching the sea, find me

Turn back from the waves
As they undulate
Begging you to resume
And your head fuzz consume

Drive minds from the surf
Remain on this earth
Turn back from the waves
Your resting place

Or fill your pockets with stones
Stare through the deep
