The Fall

A voice is heard upon the shore
A voice wails and mocks the roar

A Tale so sad
Byzantium has fallen to the ground!
That sound!
Her freedom has been ripped apart
And now somehow
The Walls have crumbled into fire and dust
They must! Surrender to the violating hoard

Close the gates
The Christians toil the night
As they pray for days
The hostiles rage, against the fighting force

Now on the throne
Deceitful men are sitting there with pride
The City bows for it surrenders
Nothing left to hide

Downfall this empty shell
That once had ruled the world
Downfall they thought The Fall
Would never come to pass

This is the fall
