Through its garb, the dagger felt
Through its maw, cruor spilled
Ablegate bludgeoned
Miter befouled
Illusions of fatiloquence undoubted and glaring
Telling globe shrouded with soil
Vestige of tomes inurned in gold
Triumph of lesser bodies none closer to the light
