I've swallowed my quarry
And now lie paralyzed
With assimilation's pain
And indulgence's misshapen form

I am a snake
And I will resume
My contours
Then I'll hunt again
There really is no choice

I like to think I surprise myself
But that's a tired joke
I watch myself as I do my best
No drama anymore
When reason turns to riot gear
There's no control, I lose myself again
