Seeking something beyond the stars
Irreverent to laws and restrictions

I've seen the darkness
I know it's there
I don't care how it bends the light

The point is that the light exists

This light has a strange nature
This light doesn't care what I think
This light will carry me to the truth
All I care about is knowing what that means

You can call it God
Call it an anomaly

I don't know how it functions
All I know is what I've seen

I am not a teacher
I am in nobody's crusade
I am just a seeker
Fighting in this war against obscurity

And I'm not seeking a defense
Some kind of apologetic ammunition
I don't need the discourse of dogma against angst
This is not a showcase of intellect or rebellion

This is the battle for perception
This is the struggle of knowing the truth
This is what happens when
I can no longer only trust myself
Let alone put my faith in you
