But then laugh them off alone

Don't go to his for lunch nor supper
Don't give in to that nagging itch
Just don't help yourself to cola
Just don't open up the fridge

So much harder than is thought of
I still need to clear my head
How am I supposed to do my job

But then no two days are the same
One day I polish all these medals
Next, I throw them all away
