Something Else

Every time I make a break through
Its 'cause I fall flat on my face
It has to be the rubble
That puts me in my place
I learn from my mistakes
If it all
Opportunities and ruins
Only learn if I stumble and fall

So if you dont mind if I just
sit around and watch
The birds fly over
My pointless thoughts
Maybe then
they'll stop

But it's not that simple I can't
just turn off
Yes I'm always searching
for something wrong
Yes something less
Something I can run from
Something I can't see
Something I'm afraid of
Something inside me
Something dangerous

Something has it's hands on me
So I let it go
I take it down (?)
Just to know that there's something small
That I can try and control

Or should I just stop
And count
Well, the things
That are going well for me
That I don't always see
Until it's too late

Before I start to blame you
