The Sea as My Grave

Pure stars shine down on me. Cold waves lap at my feet.
Slowly engulfing. Black shroud to cover me.

Her children soon to feast on carbon tired remains.
Life's short struggle - eternity of peace.

Her pull draws me further in. Lungs fill with oblivion.
Oceanic resting place. Foamed tips as pyres.

No more warmth from a giving sun. Battles fought and nothing won.
Take this form back to where it came from.

Waves bear me. Darkness bury me.
