Social worker, teacher
Sunday school preacher
Give the children what they need
Magistrate and advocate
Don't rush to legislate
Think before you sow the seeds
The seeds are sure to flower
The child become a man

Take it from a misspent youth

I was absent from the school room
Present in the pool room
Most of my younger days
Too old for youth clubs
Too young for pubs
A victim of my time and place
Drinking wine and dreaming
Thinking of the days
I'd go out from the school room
Bring home a working wage

Oh, we talked of revolution
Being the solution
Things are much the same today
Talk of making changes
Talk of rearranging
Everything the same old way
And everybody knows
If we could tell the truth
We're too busy making money
To listen to a misspent youth.
