Awful Things

Sitting cross-legged
Underneath the neon glow
And I'm lopsided
On top of my wallet
Slowly bending my spine
And that is fine because

There are a lot of things
That I should own
There are a lot of awful things
There are a lot of things
So I'll wait all night in this line
And then do awful things
I'll do awful things

My white knuckles hustle
A shopping cart with a wobbly wheel
And if I see a little tyke
In the aisle which I've staked as mine
I'll mow him over
Grab his things then run
And that is fine because
