Silver Hill

being that i am
caught and condemned
how far can i go
now that the whole foundation is old
how long till it folds
the color is back
but closer to black
i wish i could steal the bloom
off some lazy flower
and return it to our empty room
that ghost is on my back
how can i sleep when the bed is so weak
and likely to collapse
november's outside
all the leaves are untied
i can't sit and watch them fall
with nowhere to land
i should offer my hand
to them all
