The shadows freeze

From a distance I behold
The hallways of the gods,
Life around me stands still
A night rider appears
Wearing pale as the moonlit sky

A Majesty of awe inspiring power
Leading the fierce forces of the nightside
They pass by afar to conquer
They pass by afar to rule

I have seen, I have felt
Like nostalgia burning

Dreaming of great deeds
With age old memories
Of times unheard of
The night rider rode onwards
To undiscovered lands
To staunch the unsatisfied hunger

What did I comprehend?
Still the ravens they croak
Once again (their desolate cries)
My roam ends in the blink of an eye
