Used to sit around in a circle just as kids

We were freshly out of sixth grade
Still going to church
Nobody'd died

Now Johnny does cocaine
Sarah runs a bar
And Jeff forgot his name
Amy sells herself on the edge of 3rd and Main

You still drive around and talk about the Lord
Sex before a spouse and what we could explore
We were stupid at 18, thought we kinda knew our way
And we'd swore to God that we would never change

Amy has a warrant, I think this is her fifth

We were strong and educated, 22 and smart
