Description:
In the premiere episode of Alan Plater's quirky, tongue-in-cheek mystery series Get Lost! (1981), we are introduced to Judy Threadgold (Bridget Turner), an eco-conscious Leeds schoolteacher whose ordinary life is turned upside down when her salesman husband, Jim, vanishes without a trace. Desperate for answers, she begrudgingly teams up with her teaching colleague—the jazz-loving, single woodwork master Neville Keaton (played by a brilliant, young Alun Armstrong). Although the two completely loathe each other and have nothing in common, they become an unlikely amateur detective duo. The mystery deepens when they discover Jim's razor is missing, a cryptic videotape message arrives, and their search takes them to the local pub, The Garden Gate, uncovering the first clues of a strange conspiracy.
