A new cold front is set to move in today, delivering scattered rain to the Cape Metropole, South Coast, and nearby interior regions, accompanied by chilly and windy weather that will make for a brisk winter day. Morning showers are also on the cards for the central interior, but these are expected to be short-lived and should clear by midday, allowing for a return of sunshine across most of the country by the afternoon. Temperatures will remain lower than usual in affected areas, especially with the added wind chill, while the rest of South Africa can expect dry and cool conditions under partly cloudy skies. No impact-based warnings have been issued by the South African Weather Service, indicating that while the weather may be unsettled in some areas, severe conditions are not anticipated.
