Shankar Jaikishan had won the Filmfare Award and wanted Lata Mangeshkar to sing at the awards night. Lata Mangeshkar flatly refused and this irked Jaikishan. This video tells the entire episode in detail and also gives information about Lata Mangeshkar's first Filmfare Award. Lata Mangeshkar always had a very fiery temper and had run-ins with many of her Bollywood colleagues. The song that Lata Mangeshkar refused to sing at music director Jaikishan's insistence was Rasik Balma from the movie Chori Chori (1956). Lata Mangeshkar also had similar infamous fights with SD Burman & Mohd Rafi also.
