In Canada, the song reached #5 on the RPM Top Singles chart and #37 on the RPM Adult Contemporary chart.
"Damn I Wish I Was Your Lover" made the Top 10 in Norway (#3), New Zealand (#4), Denmark (#5), Australia (#7), and Greece (#8). In the Netherlands, the song reached #26 on the Single Top 100 and #32 on the Dutch Top 40 charts. It also made it to the Top 40 in Switzerland (#11), Sweden (#12), UK (#14), Germany (#15), Ireland (#17), Europe (#26), and even reached #45 in France.
