Adam Lambert debuts on Glee as the New Directions decide: are they Katy's or Gaga's? Hey Gleeks this is your Glee recap here on ClevverMusic. So Nationals are coming up and the New Directions are super nervous about their new competitors Road Explosion who are Gaga's. The Glee club then discuss if they are Gaga's (creative nerdy types) or Katy's (wholesome All American types)? Mr. Schuster assigns them to perform the opposite of what they are, for their assignment this week. The theme translates to New York where Kurt has decided to start a band with Dani and Santana. They hold auditions for the band and one lone person shows up - Adam Lambert debuts as Star Child singing Lady Gaga's "Marry the Night", take a look at this fabulousness.

Love seeing Dani on the guitar there! Kurt wasn't impressed with Star Child because he doesn't want to share the lavender limelight. But don't worry Star Child stalks Kurt and convinces him to let him in the band. At McKinley Sam takes over the Gaga's performance rehearsal to try to impress Nurse Penny. The whole school watches as Sam teases them to watch the upcoming Gaga performance using some reverse psychology as Gaga did in real life with her "Applause" song on iTunes. The Gaga's perform "Applause" in various outfits from her official music video as Marley crashes as a Katy, watch this.

Marley gets suspended for not doing her assignment and the Katy's struggle with a gimmick for their performance. They decide to strip it down and make it about the music, performing "Wide Awake" in a simple performance, take a look.

In the end Kurt's band name themselves the Pamela Lansburys and they convince Rachel to join. The Glee club realize that healthy Katy vs Gaga competition makes for better music for all and they come together to ward off Principal Sue and sing Katy's "Roar".
